Batavia Downs Gaming $1,000 Handicapping
Contest Official Rules |
| 1. |
Entries limited to one per person must be a Player's Club member to participate. Any person submitting more than one entry will be disqualified. Participants must be 18 years or older. |

|
| 2. |
Contestants are to select one (1) horse each Batavia Downs contest race (Races 1 - 9). All contest forms must be completed in full between 5:30 pm and 7:05pm (post time) and deposited in the designated box located next to Player's Club Booth. |

|
|
|
| 3. |
Points will be awarded as follows: 5 pts. for first-place finish; 3pts. for second; 1pt. for third. |
|
|
|
|
| 4. |
Each contest will be allowed to select two "Best Bets." Any points accumulated from the selection designated as the "Best Bet" will be doubled. If a contestant's "Best Bet" is scratched, the alternate selection given for that race will be designated as the "Best Bet." If both choices are scratched in a race in which a contestant has selected a "Best Bet", the contestant will not have a "Best Bet" selection. If a contestant selects more than two "Best Bets," those selections will not be recognized. In the case that a contestant selects more than two "Best Bets" the first two selected will be used and the contestant will receive only the regular points awarded for the other "Best Bets" selected. |

| 5. |
Points awared for the first choice only, unless first choice is scratched. If first choice is scratched, backup choice will be used to determine points awarded for that race. Should both first and backup choices be scratched, contestant will receive no points for that race. |

|
| 6. |
In the event of a tie for any top five position, the contestant (s) whose total mutuel prices for winners selected during the contest is higher, will be declared the winner. If the contestant (s) remain tied, prize monies will be divided equally. |

|
|
| 7. |
The top five (5) overall scores based on accumulated points will earn prizes of $500 for First Place; $250 for Second Place; $125 for Third Place; $75 for Fourth Place; and $50 for Fifth Place. |

|
|
| 8. |
The decision of the Batavia Downs Gaming Rules Committee will be final in all matters connected to and related to this contest. The Rules Committee will review all objections and/or rules' interpretations. Contestant agrees to abide by all rules and to accept any decisions rendered by Batavia Downs Gaming Rules Committee. |

|
| 9. |
If, in the opinion of the Rules Committee, there is any attempt to manipulate any pari-mutuel wagering pool, the race (s) will be considered non-betting for contest purposes. Anyone involved in the manipulation of betting pools will be disqualified from this contest and subject to legal action. |

|
|
| 10. |
Entry into this contest constitutes an agreement by the participant that his/her name and likeness may be used for promotional purposes without compensation. |
|
|
|
|
| 11. |
Anyone employed by Batavia Downs Gaming, Western Regional Off Track Betting and his or her immediate family (or anyone living in same household) will not be allowed to participae. Drivers, Horsemen and Personnel licensed by the New York State Racing & Wagering Board for 2008, will not be eligible to participate. |
